I think you've slightly misunderstood the patch. The "Reply" button will always only reply to the sender. (Well, or to the Reply-To address, which may point to a list, if the list sets it that way... The point is that I'm not changing that behaviour at all.)

I am adding a "Reply To List" button, and changing which button shows up at the top of the message (which I've been calling the "Default button"), but since you'll be looking at that button when you're clicking it, I think it will be fairly obvious when it changes from "Reply" to "Reply To List". And the keybindings won't change, so Ctrl-R will always reply, and Ctrl-Shift-L will always be reply-to-list, no matter which button is showing as the default.

Does that allay some of your concerns? Would you be up for applying the patch, and testing it out to see if it works for you?
