2010-04-22 02:02:54 Kees Cook description Binary package hint: thunderbird Just upgraded to 9.10 and ever since thunderbird crashes with a segmentation fault if I hover the mouse over any of the menu bar items or hit alt + file menu letter. I can avoid it by not doing any of the above but it means I cannot use any of the menu bar items like File, Edit, View etc. I tried running it with the -safe-mode but it makes no difference. $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 $ apt-cache policy thunderbird thunderbird: Installed: 2.0.0.23+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.0.0.23+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.0.0.23+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ProblemType: Crash Architecture: i386 CrashCounter: 1 Date: Tue Nov 17 09:19:50 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 ExecutablePath: /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Package: thunderbird 2.0.0.23+build1+nobinonly-0ubuntu1 ProcCmdline: /usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SegvAnalysis: Segfault happened at: 0x842422 <__kernel_vsyscall+2>: ret PC (0x00842422) ok Reason could not be automatically determined.
