A. There are mailing lists and such that will reject email where the envelope
doesn't match the "From:". Sometimes it's the mailing list spam filter ;-)
B. Some MTAs actually keep that information (qmail).
C. It's not even as if I can give fictitious email address for the envelope. If
I do, I won't be able to get rejects, which may actually be of interest to me.
D. Why not?
