Comment 52 for bug 297301

Is this dialog showing when the server is disconnected? It appears from the comments that either there is no way to really know the server error or we're just using the same dialog for it. If it's possible to detect login failure vs. server failure we need to separate those kinds of errors.

At the same time I don't understand why we would destroy the persons password in any case. Even if the password has changed on the server what does destroying the old password give us? It seems we should at least always keep the old password even if it appears to be failing.
