I'm sure you guys and gals will agree that over 6 years since initial reporting is quite a while to get a fix. Is there something we are not doing to get it done? I know we need a coder to do the job (I'd do it if I knew how) so how do we go about getting this done?

Gmail/Google Mail frequently drops out on IMAP and POP which prompts this error, with the growing popularity of this email provider surely many people must be experiencing this bug. ???

What I'm trying to get at is, how do we up the ante so that Mozilla notice this?
