Behind the wall there is the bathroom, and plumbing ofc. The thing is this happened last year after a huge storm and a 10cm hole in the wall that went unnoticed during that time. Plumbing was there and fully functional for a year or two before and I never had these problems.
I will probably leave as is till next summer and try re-plaster the whole thing again and see how it goes, unless there's an easy way o find out the extent of the dampness of the wall without breaking down walls/tiles
