Is this still reproducible with latest thunderbird 2.0.0.18 from our repos? I am unable to reproduce using IMAP or POP. I have also tested with tbird 3.0 built by Mozillateam for Ubuntu. If you still can please add more ifo like what version of tbird and Ubuntu are you seeing this on
