Comment 9 for bug 115153

Is there any status on this? Does anyone have time to look into changing this
behaviour? It's getting to the point where I'm considering looking for other
applications that sort this way, because it's nearly impossible for me to find
email I need to deal with based on "recentness". The things I typically look
for aren't unread, but just recent, and it makes it harder to find things if the
list of visible headers is increased by turning off threading. (And, I don't
really want to have to affect the view/sort style just to find something, so I
can then switch it back to the mode I prefer)
I'd appriciate any feed back, or better yet someone to suggest code to implement
the request...
