This is a totally different bug to the one filed here. The one filed here is to do with the way Thunderbird sorts threads when sorting by Order Received. If you have a problem with Thunderbird not immediately resorting threads when new mail is received, please file a new bug about it. *This* bug, however, should be WONTFIXed.
