Both Apple's Mail client, and mutt (I think Mail does it by default, and I don't
know if you can turn it off) have a way to sort by order-received, but have the
*latest* descendant of a thread (when using threaded view) effect the sort,
rather than the initial message in the thread.
I would like Thunderbird (prob. also Mozilla MailNews) to have this feature. It
could either be a flag, like threaded/unthreaded, or could be the default
behaviour of "threaded".
Probabaly better to have a flag, tho. Maybe a pref checkbox? "Use last message
in thread for sorting" ? Then it would apply to date-sent, date-received,
order-received, etc. Unclear what should happen when the sort is by subject or
sender. Does that turn off threading anyway? I think maybe it does...
Let me know if this is a dup (I looked and didn't see one like it), or if it
should be MailNews instead of Thunderbird.
