Comment 87 for bug 10883

I have the same problem as Jesse Ruderman.

Can anybody tell me why the choice between HTML and Plant-text composer is
completely missing from my preferences? I did not even know that a plain-text
mode existed. I just went to search for an RFE asking for the addition of one,
and was surprised to discover it already existed. I tried the trick of
shift-clicking the "Compose" button, and that worked just fine, but if I look in
Preferences under "Mail & Newsgroups" under "Composition" I see no option for
changing which is the default.
