After using Browse Network in thunar and clicking on a machine name with samba shares the following message is displayed: Failed to retrieve share list from server: File exists.

Previously in Ubuntu 16.04, instead of getting this error message, a popup window is displayed allowing one to enter a username/password/domain after which the shares on the machine are enumerated. So, I believe this may be a regression.

If, instead of browsing the Network and clicking on a machine, the user manually enters a direct URL to the samba share, e.g. smb://machine.local/share, then the popup window is displayed and the user is able to connect. So this procedure can be used as a user friendly work around.

Also, I noticed that in Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04, manually installing the libreoffice-gnome package is required to open documents on samba shares. While not necessarily a bug, this seems very problematic for new users since most would probably like to open and work with documents on samba shares and the solution is far from obvious.

Thanks for your work on Xubuntu! Hopefully these are simple fixes that will make the onboard experience a little better.
