I have been testing 1.6.11 in Xubuntu 16.04, moved a lot of files this week and no crashes. Thunar is much better to use again now.

I noticed a new bug in 1.6.11 although it is minor compared to the problems with 1.6.10, this issue is already reported here: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13364

I love XFCE, just wish we could get a few more developers, thanks to everyone that worked on this fix.
