I rebuilt Thunar applying this patch, and have been using it for 3 days. I have not had even one crash while renaming, copying, moving, or deleting files. I did a very large amount of renaming today, so I feel confident that Thunar is no longer crashing on renames with this patch applied.

The symptoms mentioned in bug #12297 have also disappeared for me.
