hi, would you mind to help on checking, if upstream thermald also happens?

#git clone https://github.com/intel/thermal_daemon.git
#As per README.md,
#./autogen prefix=/
#make

Before run the upstream thermald, stop the original daemon
#systemctl stop thermald.service
#sudo ./thermald --no-daemon --adaptive

Looks like this has been seen in the past:

sudo groupadd power
sudo usermod --groups power --append $USER

https://askubuntu.com/questions/1170790/log-alert-unknown-group-power-in-message-bus-config-file

But after a reboot, thermald.service is still failing; only the 'power' warning is gone.

By default on Xubuntu 23.10, `/etc/thermald/thermal-conf.xml` does not exist.

Run `sudo apt install dptfxtract`
This creates `/etc/thermald/thermal-conf.xml.auto`

sudo systemctl restart thermald

sudo systemctl status thermald
