All Unicode/non-ASCII text glyphs (accented Latin characters, mathematical symbols, CJK characters) are rendered by as squares. The machine in question has sufficient fonts, but for Winforms-based applications these non-Latin characters are not being displayed.
This happens with Libgdiplus 2.4.2; the previous Libgdiplus 2.0 (shipped in Ubuntu 09.04) was fine; the issue could equally be in Pango/Cairo/Fontconfig---but only shows up in the case of Mono software.
Note that this is occuring with the _default_ font; the .Font has not been overwritten.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Attached minimal test case and screenshot demonstrate this.
