Title: package tex-common 2.06 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
The postinst script gets/expects a wrong error code from dpkg-query. Replacing the occurrences of
stat=$(dpkg-query -W -f='${Status}' texlive-base)
with
stat=$(dpkg-query -W -f='${Status}' texlive-base || /bin/true)
resolves the issue.
See attached file (postinst. in.patch) .
