Can someone with a clue take another look at this? I also came from Debian and am using JFS (a supported option via the alternate installer) and this bug renders my system unbootable from battery on unclean shutdown. It is a bug, plain and simple. fsck needs to be run on every boot, on battery or not. The issue with ext3 doing periodic checks on battery should have been fixed by the fix to bug #89752 so now this "feature" is just a bug.
