I used SysReq to sync before power-off
echo 1 > /proc/sys/kernel/sysrq
ALT + "DRUCK" ( or "Print Screen") + R E I S U O
as a workaround. as I have to wait for the sync, I can't report now. of course that's no fun @ for remote machines.
ps. the servers were on centos before, I did not have any probs there ?!
