Martin,
After closing the lid and being away for a couple of hours, I have just resumed :
the network is up. However 4-5 seconds after, the network is disconnected and it looks like it will fall in suspend again. An action on the touchpad seems to get it back from sleep, then the network is up again for good.

It is much better than before because when it happened, I had to hard stop or remove battery.
But there is still an issue with suspend state in 13.10. (maybe in another bug entry)
