Martin, the packages from your PPA seem to have fixed the problm on my netbook -- no problems with a several suspends. Closing lid, suspend from menu, or sleep key all seem to be OK.

WIll try on my desktop PC later as I've also been having the problem there.

I'd be happy to add some "before and after" log files if that would be helpful. Which log files would you want?
