Bug Description

[Impact]

 * sysdig 0.24.1-1 panics with kernel 5.3 (check console.txt attached).
 * The following fix solves the problem: https://github.com/draios/sysdig/commit/94ca2866d

[Test Case]

 * Install sysdig-dkms and sysdig on a system with kernel 5.3.
 * Load sysdig-probe
 * Start csysdig
 * Increase the load on the system (ie, stress-ng --cpu 8 --io 4 --vm 2 --vm-bytes 128M --fork 4 --timeout 10s)
 * The system panics

[Regression Potential]

 * The change is small and fixes a panic that is easily reproduced.

[Other info]

 * The problem was initially reported on a comment from bug #1853908.

Hello Marcelo, or anyone else affected,

Accepted sysdig into bionic-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sysdig/0.24.1-1ubuntu4~18.04.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from verification-needed-bionic to verification-done-bionic. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-bionic. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

I tested 0.24.1-1ubuntu4~18.04.1 following the same steps listed on the bug description with success. While the previous version (0.24.1-1ubuntu3~18.04.1) easily panics, the new version in proposed was able to run several runs of `stress-ng --cpu 8 --io 4 --vm 2 --vm-bytes 128M --fork 4 --timeout 10s` without problems. The tests were performed on an x86_64 KVM VM with bionic.
