Bug Description

When downloading new updates, the ability to scroll through downloaded packages does not work. The scroll bar is locked to bottom package. I do not know if this is a gtk error as the list is being re-drawn or if synaptic itself can fix, but the entire reason for such a scrollbar is mute at that point. More closely it occurs with synaptic-package-manager and the window titled "Downloading Package Files".

This same behavior is exhibited when you update the repositories.

I'm having the same problem. It occurs on several machines running Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid.

The download status window moves the scroll bar back to the bottom constantly (every refresh?).
