Please include:
sssd.conf (sanitized as needed)
Your PAM stack (not sure what it is on Ubuntu. On Fedora it would be /etc/pam.d/system-auth)
sssd_<domainname>.log (set debug_level = 9 in the [domain/<domainname>] section of sssd.conf and sanitize as needed)
Also include a description of the exact steps to reproduce. Does it occur any time you attempt to log in?
