What I did was what was outlined in the test case section. Also confirmed squid is listening for requests:

| 2019/03/05 22:32:25 kid5| Accepting HTTP Socket connections at local=[::]:3128 remote=[::] FD 15 flags=1
| 2019/03/05 22:32:25 kid1| Accepting HTTP Socket connections at local=[::]:3128 remote=[::] FD 15 flags=1

And of course, wget, per test case, works as well.
