This bug affects me too.
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. Upgraded from 9.10. When I was using 9.10 I purged splashy, because I wanted to see text from init scripts and I don't like graphical boot screens. But there's not so much text while booting Ubuntu...That's why I decided to bring back splashy...But it conflicts with lsb-base package...Please fix it, it's not good to have such a bug in LTS release.
