As per our discussions yesterday, I've run 2 different dist-upgrades, and did d dpkg -l in both scenarios. One with my amended PPA [1] with X-Python3-Version: >= 3.6 and one that is default from the bionic repos, and the only difference was the package available in the PPA, as shown below
