Because gsd is what listens to the keyboard for stuff. I've experienced
a similar issue before, but that was with a bluetooth phone acting as a
remote control. With Hardy, it worked. Control+P would trigger the media
key "Play", and pressing the button on the phone which fires out Control
+P also triggers the media player. However, in Intrepid, although
xmodmap indicates that the key has been grabbed, nothing happens.
Control+P on the notebook keyboard still works.
