Bug Description

Binary package hint: adept-installer

in russian kubuntu gutsy open adept installer, click 'edit software sources'. there is badly localized string in 'download from' dropdown. see screenshot for details.

I think this is the same problem that i have with the greek names here

If you would like to investigate further, find the Russian translation of Adept and check to see if the problem is simply with the translation.

The translation file is somewhere under
http://websvn.kde.org/kde/trunk/l10n-kde4/ (it is KDE4 in Kubuntu, isn't it? Else put kde3).

You may also find adept.mo on your computer, and run "msgunfmt adept.mo > /tmp/adept-strings.po"
Then open the created file and see if the encoding of the string is ok.

The problem still exists in kubuntu jaunty with Greek translation. You can see the photo here

"vista killer", see bug 102773 (where this one here is a duplicate of).
The fix has been committed and will likely get released for Jaunty, but currently it is not.
