Ubuntu Software Center 2.1.18, Ubuntu Maverick

1. Launch USC.
2. Add a PPA in Software Sources.
3. Open the “All Software” menu.
What should happen: "the PPA should be shown in the menu".
What actually happens: An hour later, the PPA item has not appeared. (Even after closing and relaunching USC, it still doesn't appear.)

In this case the ppa from gary does not have any software that is not superseeded already by archive software. It would display a empty ppa, something that its currently not doing.
