Bug Description

I'm running the latest update of Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.

The following is the output for the software-center command when starting from terminal and trying to turn on the recommendations:

2014-04-21 10:16:02,397 - softwarecenter.backend.login_impl.login_sso - ERROR - _on_credentials_error for Ubuntu One: dbus.Dictionary({dbus.String(u'errtype'): dbus.String(u'GUINotAvailableError'), dbus.String(u'message'): dbus.String(u'Can not find a GUI to present to the user (tried with "(\'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\', \'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\')"). Aborting.')}, signature=dbus.Signature('ss')) ()

2014-04-21 10:16:02,398 - softwarecenter.backend.login_impl.login_sso - ERROR - _on_credentials_error for Ubuntu One: dbus.Dictionary({dbus.String(u'errtype'): dbus.String(u'GUINotAvailableError'), dbus.String(u'message'): dbus.String(u'Can not find a GUI to present to the user (tried with "(\'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\', \'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\')"). This bug is affecting me too. And notice that, the UBUNTU SOFTWARE CENTER VERSION is 13.10, this isn't normal right? I think it's very easy for developers to change its version.

And the TEXT while viewing the application being installed, its color is WHITE LIKE ITS BACKGROUND!
Im using ubuntu gnome.

(And maybe I false to explain bugs above in here :-P)

This bug also occurs on Ubuntu 15.10. The following error is reported when "Turn on Recommendations" is selected:

2016-02-13 18:12:54,032 - softwarecenter.backend.login_impl.login_sso - ERROR - _on_credentials_error for Ubuntu One: dbus.Dictionary({dbus.String(u'errtype'): dbus.String(u'GUINotAvailableError'), dbus.String(u'message'): dbus.String(u'Can not find a GUI to present to the user (tried with "(\'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\', \'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\')"). Aborting.')}, signature=dbus.Signature('ss')) ()
2016-02-13 18:12:54,033 - softwarecenter.backend.login_impl.login_sso - ERROR - _on_credentials_error for Ubuntu One: dbus.Dictionary({dbus.String(u'errtype'): dbus.String(u'GUINotAvailableError'), dbus.String(u'message'): dbus.String(u'Can not find a GUI to present to the user (tried with "(\'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\', \'ubuntu-sso-login-qt\')"). Aborting.')}, signature=dbus.Signature('ss')) ()

The display is also grey on grey as mentioned by another poster (see attached image ) - not sure if this is a related issue?

same but here. I have tried whatever workarounds/fixes listed on web to no avail.
failure on 14.04.5 with latest updates installed (inc. yesterday's flashplugin update - which didn't fix it for me, but I haven't dug into that one yet).
Don't mean to pile on, just mean to report. Thx
