Can't turn on recommendations

The above appears on the "About" window for the version of Ubuntu Software Center that was installed with Ubuntu 13.10.
For some reason I can no longer turn on "Recommendations".

Any suggestions.

I have not removed ubuntu one and also ubuntu one starts to sync files,
then stops with error (see attachment).

Jim, i dont think it matters if you have removed it or not, Ubuntu one is shuting down wich means even if you have ubuntu one it will not work.

Indeed, you better back up your files stored in Ubuntu One and move to other service (Wuala, Copy, GDrive, OneDrive, etc.)
