Fixed in Debian revision 0.3.0-3. The culprit is sobby dying from the exception when compiled with Zeroconf support, not the Avahi compatibility warnings. As a workaround you could install avahi-daemon, which will solve the issue, but this is not desirable on a public internet server.
I would appreciate if the MOTU team syncs sobby from Debian.
