Bug Description

The .desktop file used by gnome-main-menu to load the control-center (/usr/share/gnome-main-menu/control-center.desktop) loads the control-center file located in /usr/lib/gnome-main-menu/control-center which doesn't work (I'm not at home, I'll send the exact error message tonight).

I fixed the problem by simply replacing /usr/lib/gnome-main-menu/control-center but gnome-control-center in the control-center.desktop file.

Upstream should roll a tarball with the applet only now that the shell has been moved to gnome-control-center

With Herd 4 I have now a quite different error, I now have an error message instead of nothing :)
I'll try with a completely clean gnome session to see if that's not the result of an update (bad settings in gconf for instance)

I can confirm thus bug "Failure loading - preferences.menu", both a clean Feisty install and with a fully patched Feisty (from Herd 1 on).

Except that for Herd4 gnome-control-center works and control-center just doesn't.
