Regarding eviacam, is not the same problem. Notice the message "Unable to find any suitable image format" which means that your camera is still not supported by eviacam. This should be resolved in upstream. Please, submit a bug report [2] indicating the webcam model you use and the relevant dmesg and lsusb output.
Regarding SITPLUS, it seems that opencv is missing in the list of dependencies of the package:
Depends: libbluetooth3 (>= 4.91), libboost- filesystem1. 49.0 (>= 1.49.0-1), libboost- program- options1. 49.0 (>= 1.49.0-1), libboost- system1. 49.0 (>= 1.49.0-1), libboost- thread1. 49.0 (>= 1.49.0-1), libc6 (>= 2.15), libconfig9, libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1), libpocofoundation9, libpocoxml9, libportmidi0, libsdl-gfx1.2-4 (>= 2.0.22), libsdl-image1.2 (>= 1.2.10), libsdl1.2debian (>= 1.2.10-1), libstdc++6 (>= 4.6), libv4l-0 (>= 0.5.0), libwxbase2.8-0 (>= 2.8.12.1), libwxgtk2.8-0 (>= 2.8.12.1), libx11-6, libxtst6, sitplus-data, pd-cyclone, pd-freeverb, pd-iemnet, puredata, pd-libdir, pd-list-abs
Also missing in the affected library:
$ ldd /usr/lib/ sitplus/ libmod_ camera. so | grep cv

BTW: I just released a new version of sitplus [1]
