Steps to reproduce:
1. Start a handful of nodes
2. Drag one of them to a new location
3. Add a new child node anywhere
Expected: New child node to appear, and the mindmap to otherwise stay the same.
What happened: The whole mindmap gets reorganized instead of just the child node appearing.
In addition, if you have a large mindmap, it gets zoomed out until all of fits into the view.
This makes making mindmaps very clumsy, especially when working on large mindmaps. In general what makes mindmaps the powerful tool they are is that you can organize them naturally and that aspect gets totally destroyed by this bug.
