confirmed on Kubuntu Hardy 32bit / KDE3 & KDE4:
The binary is in a weird location:
/usr/lib/kde4/bin/semantik
Additionally, the KDE-start-menu entry for it (Office > Semantik) has *no* value for "command" set, probably the main cause why it can't be started from the menu. ;)
Running "/usr/lib/kde4/bin/semantik" directly from the commandline starts semantik properly.
Something else: How come that mindmapping tools are not put into the same menu category? (e.g. kdissert is in "utilities" whereas semantik is in "office")
