IIIMF appears to have very little functionality in Ubuntu at all, which leaves us with more or less nothing, except perhaps for some single-language XIM input methods. It's not a good day for multilingual Ubuntu users. Those updated debs look promising, though. I know a bug has been filed to update SCIM as well.
