web browser freezes with scim

Bug Description
I am running Hardy.
After upgrade from Gutsy, I noticed that in some occasions firefox browser freezes.
Today, I installed epiphany, but it also froze for no apparent reason.
Later, I found out that both freeze when the scim with anthy are running, and I try to do something with the browsers, be that opening web pages from the email or starting up the browsers.
I am using scim with anthy to input Japanese. The system's language is in English.
