The first issue occurs when checking dependencies:

Check dependencies
──────────────────

Merged Build-Depends: build-essential, fakeroot
Filtered Build-Depends: build-essential, fakeroot
Signature not found in user keyring
Perhaps try the interactive 'ecryptfs-mount-private'
grep: debian/control: No such file or directory
