The samba shares is mounted with cifs and the driver used on the laptop is e1000.

I just tested with an another computer instead of the server.
This computer is running Vista and the result almost is the same.

laptop -> vista computer <3,7 MB/s
laptop <- vista computer <~6,7 MB/s
