@Andy. Hmmm... This is getting rather odd. I spoke too soon earlier but it took a lot longer to trigger the error this time around.

I then bit the apple and downloaded the latest jaunty alternate install cd and upgraded to jaunty. Same problem...

The connecting keeps dropping and my log is full of "error -19" messages. Restarting and/or unloading/loading the rt73usb works like one out of 10 - the machine needs to be physically powered off before it works again.

I'm willing to try anything you can throw my way in terms of sorting this one out.
