Rhythmbox Crackles, Totem Movie player does not

Bug Description

Why when i listen to mp3's in Rhythmbox it crackles... however that same mp3 it plays fine under totem movie player.
I have tried many of the other crackle fixes mentioned on the forums and this one plagues me.

No I am not using the crossfade backend.

After enabling crossfade it works fine.

I believe that makes this ticket a duplicate (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/116990) so my appoligise.
