Bug Description

I started Rhythmbox and it worked fine until I tried to play a song, at which point it'd freeze. Running it from the terminal I got this traceback.

(rhythmbox:12839): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: Custom constructor for class SoupServer returned NULL (which is invalid). Unable to remove object from construction_objects list, so memory was probably just leaked. Please use GInitable instead.
Unable to open ~/.mtpz-data for reading, MTPZ disabled.Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/lib/rhythmbox/plugins/artsearch/embedded.py", line 38, in discovered_cb
    (found, sample) = tags.get_sample(tagname)
AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'get_sample'

Seems like it might be related to this: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1242806

(Dunno if this is relevant, but just prior I was having some issues with Rhythmbox not able to open /run/user/1000/pulse when trying to play a song. I fixed that by taking the ownership of that directory.)

Running Ubuntu 13.10 on an ASUS K53SV laptop, Rhythmbox 2.99.1

It is not related to the bug you linked to. The mtpz message is just a warning. In your case the embedded album art plugin is causing the issue.

Thanks nikolajsheller, I tried to add the podcast but the link does not seem to provide a feed, is that the right link for the podcast?
