I am trying to have Rhythmbox utilize a smb share for it's main collectoin, via shares mounted with Nautilus. The location is able to be selected to be used as a source, but 90% of the tracks it tries to add, show up under "Import Errors" because of a "Timeout".

On that same note, if I do the same thing with sftp://, they add perfectly, just VERY slowly because even on Wireless N, I only get about 200KB/s when using that service for file transfers, but get about 5MB/s over smb://.

To duplicate the bug, map to a samba share containing music files in nautilus, then in rhythmbox, go to preferences, and the Music Tab. In the textbox where you would select the location of your music library, select Browse, and point it at the mounted smb share containing music, and exit it out of preferences. After some time, it will start trying to import the music, but mostly timeout under Import Errors. Thanks in advance for looking into this.

I should also mention, this happens in 12.10 and 13.04 but I haven't tried in 12.04.
