Rhythbox, ona quad-core workstation with SSD, no local music (using smba share.)
All settings deleted, as described http://askubuntu.com/questions/7979/how-can-i-reset-all-rhythmbox-preferences-and-library-information.

I did also purg rhythmbox and reinstalled it. - we are speaking about no songs in library.

- still over twenty seconds from I click a mp3, or just start the application, till the window is displayed.
