I believe this is not a bug in realtime-lsm per se. I also needed gcc-3.4 to compile the external modules for a well-known WinModem, but the compiler wasn't included in the Breezy CD.

In Warty and Hoary, the gcc version used to compile the included kernel is shipped in, but this time in Breezy it was not, hence making linux-headers-`uname -r` inutile for the purpose of building additional modules for the kernel.
