The Qt 5.5 packages at https://launchpad.net/~ci-train-ppa-service/+archive/ubuntu/landing-012 now include the upstream versions of QML Playlist and Audio Role patches that went in to Qt 5.6.

It was mentioned there's some slight difference in at least the Playlist patch that requires a change, hence this bug report. The branch with fixing the needed issues can land as part of the silo 12.

Qt 5.5 targets landing soon after wily+1 opens.
