Also maybe someone should edit this bug... Severity should be Major instead of Normal.. From the guidelines:

Normal: regular issue, some loss of functionality under specific circumstances
Major: major loss of function

For this bug makes not only "some" loss of functionality and not only under "specific" but rather generic curcumstances, "Normal" doesn't cut it...

ALSO: DEAR KDE DEVS: Why not at least assign this to someone? Status "NEW", really? For THREE YEARS?
