It was closed as upstream by somebody who doesn't seem to be an openSUSE packager. Just reopen it and link to the patch here.

FWIW, what KDE can do is to add the Qt patch to the qt-kde tree in git. Several distros ship the Qt patchset from there (I know Fedora does, I'm not sure about openSUSE), so it'd get picked up automatically by those. But I also think that getting that patch (or a better one, if Nokia doesn't like the patch as is) into upstream Qt is the best solution.

By the way, whatever you do, make sure you use the version of the patch I fixed, from comment #29, not the original one which contained a crash bug. (But the credits for the patch should still go to Jeremy Sanders, I only fixed the crasher.)
